Analysis

CIC employ computer modelling techniques to strengthen our understanding of underlying behaviors of vehicle structures. This is undertaken both during the early design and later validation/certification stages of prototypes.

Our analysis often utilises experimental results as objectives (tuning phase) in order to arrive at models which are predictive and may be used for exploring the design space.

We currently perform the following modelling tasks:

  • Linear/non-linear static or dynamic finite element
  • Crash simulation
  • SPH and ALE modelling (multi-physics)
  • Accident scene reconstruction (automotive and aeronautic)
  • Optimisation techniques
